Captain Hawk 01

The Hawk lures went through changes in ownership and manufacturing. There is a difference in the height of the protruding eyes from one maker to another, and there are at least 2 different size dive lips. The paperwork shown here is an example from Captain Hawk Artificial Bait Mfg Company. At the time, there were 10 colors available and Captain Hawk advised you carry at least 1 of each color.

Captain Hawk 02

With some similarity to the Flatfish, the Chinch - Bug is a odd looking lure with a bulb shaped tail end. This Reck's Tackle Company original came in a clam shell style box, and the 3 sizes had a range of 12 colors.
Fishing Country Inc Plug With Bug 01

Fishing Country Inc Plug With Bug 02

The Plug With Bug Lures first came in a hard, plastic 2 piece box and the insert shown. The later box is soft plastic and only a photo copy of the original catalog was included. This 3 in 1 plug called the Skipper, by Fishing Country Inc, has "Action + Bait + Flash". Other Plug with Bug lures by Fishing Country Inc include the Invader and the Raider.

Great Lakes Ent Flipper Finn 01

The Flipper Finn is a stainless steel spoon with an odd shape. It looks like the Great Lakes Enterprises forgot to have their name printed on the package, it was stamped on later

The Fincheroo insert shown here is from Bass Bird Lure Company, it was also produced by Robfin Industries of Arizona. Both companies used similar hinged plastic boxes.

The Nimble Nose is one of the interesting lures produced by Gudebrod. It was sold in a hard, 2 piece plastic box with this insert. It looks like the Nimble Nose was available in 12 of 33 colors.

Neon Mickey 01
Neon Mickey 02

The Neon Mickey is a very unique lure that has mercury and neon gas inside a glass chamber, and when shaken, the gas glows. This might be considered a potential environmental hazard by today's standards. This insert is found in a 2 piece plastic box that houses this lure. The insert does not give the company name or address.

Sometimes the manufacturer put an instruction sheet in the box, like this Brooks informational on adjusting the weed guard on this "deadly Hooker".

The Worth Company, Weedless Sproat Hook is a good bait holder with double hooks.

We have seen the Pachner & Koller Bright Eyes in a cardboard box and in a later bubble pack. This early, pre zipcode paper is from the 2 piece box. The paper is helpful with model number and color designations.
